The Ranking window in HGSI allows the user to rank a stock’s relative strength and price performance on a weekly basis over the last two years. The ranker supports a number of different ranking formulas, including:
- Ian Fast Relative Strength
- Ian Slow Relative Strength
- Wilder RSI
- Percent Change
- Comparative RS
The ranker also computes the velocity and acceleration of these rankings and lets the user see that as well. The coloring allows you to, at a glance, see trends in the direction. Because it compares all the stocks in a group, you can set up groups with stocks so that the ranking of them will offer insight into the direction and rotation of the market. You can also rank HGSI indexes which include sectors and industry groups. In addition to the 1-99 ranking, the raw rank score for each stock for each week is also available. This data can be exported out in tabular text format for use in spreadsheets or other data analysis tools.
