Welcome to this Week’s Review

What a week it was. Holiday cheer turned into fireworks in the market and a roller coaster ride.

After waking up to extremely down futures on Thursday, we saw a mid-day rally that carried onto Friday and left most of the major indices slightly positive and new highs on SPY, QQQ, and DIA.

The markets climbed a wall of worry as COVID fears elevated for the non-vaccinated population worldwide, Japan canceled spectators at the upcoming Olympics, China shows signs of slowing, and back home there were some suggestions that the recovery may not be quite as powerful as expected.
